Jessica Marotta Linked to Suicide Victim Jospeh Cerniglia

The story of Joseph Cerniglia, the restaurant owner and subject of a reality show who committed suicide last week, has taken a turn with news that Cerniglia was allegedly having an affair with his 27-year-old pastry chef, Jessica Marotta.

Jospeh Cerniglia and Jessica Marotta (nypost.com)Cerniglia, a married father of three, was subject of a 2007 episode of Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares. His death became a national story due to the fact that another chef who had appeared on a Ramsay reality show, Rachel Brown, had also committed suicide three years earlier.

The New York Post is now reporting
that the 39-year-old Cerniglia and Marotta were dating shortly before Cerniglia took his own life. "They loved each other very much," said Marotta's mother, Ana Marotta, to thePost. "My daughter is devastated."

Gary Polina, the owner of a jewelry store near Cerniglia's restaurant, said he assumed the two were romantically involved, due to "the way they interacted with each other. They were very close, and when the rest of the people went home, they would stay behind alone to clean up."

Spot gold prices were trading sideways today amid a sharp uptick in oil, which has a long history of being tied to commodities such as gold. James DiGeorgia, publisher of the Gold and Energy Advisor and author of The Trader's Great Gold Rush also expects gold prices to rise to around $1,400 by the end of the year.
"It looks like gold is consolidating and that's a good thing," DiGeorgia said. "We've made new highs and it's not uncommon for a commodity like this to go through some consolidation."

"Identity theft" is a heavily searched phrase today following a news report that a Pittsburgh woman will plead guilty to charges of fraud and aggravated identity theft.
Karen Tucker allegedly scammed advertisers and exhibitors out of thousands of dollars by promoting a fake bridal show in Boston. Tucker was charged with fraud after she pretended to be a representative from a business called The Boston 411. She promoted a fake home and bridal show in March and collected illegitimate upfront fees from exhibitors.
She will plead guilty in exchange for a sentence of up to nearly five years in jail.

James O'Keefe: A history of lies, falsehoods, and deception

O'Keefe falsely claimed that ACORN tapes were a "nationwide ACORN child prostitution investigation" that implicated many ACORN employees. Discussing the ACORN videos created by O'Keefe and fellow conservative activist Hannah Giles, O'Keefe falsely claimed that the video campaign was a "nationwide ACORN child prostitution investigation" implicating many ACORN employees. But in at least six of the eight heavily edited videos produced by O'Keefe and Giles and distributed by Andrew Breitbart, either the activists did not clearly tell the ACORN employees that they were planning to engage in child prostitution; or the ACORN employees refused to help them or apparently deliberately misled them; or ACORN employees contacted the police following their visit.
Law enforcement officials criticize O'Keefe's "highly selective editing of reality." Three separate investigations cleared ACORN workers of any criminal wrongdoing, and a December 22, 2009report by the Congressional Research Service stated that California and Maryland criminal laws may have been violated by the undisclosed taping done by O'Keefe. California Attorney General Edmund G. Brown, Jr. pointed out that the videotapes were "severely edited by O'Keefe." In a statement, Brownsaid, "The evidence illustrates ... that things are not always as partisan zealots portray them through highly selective editing of reality. Sometimes a fuller truth is found on the cutting room floor." Likewise, a March 1 New York Daily News article reported that "a law enforcement source" said of O'Keefe and Giles: "They edited the tape to meet their agenda." A March 2 New York Post article, headlined "ACORN set up by vidiots: DA," reported of O'Keefe and Giles' ACORN tapes: "Many of the seemingly crime-encouraging answers were taken out of context so as to appear more sinister, sources said."
Breitbart and O'Keefe withheld exculpatory LA ACORN video for two months. For more than two months after Andrew Breitbart's BigGovernment.com website began posting videos in which O'Keefe and Giles posed as a pimp and prostitute in ACORN offices, O'Keefe and his cohorts withheld video that directly contradicted what they said the videos showed. In September 2009, Giles and Big Government editor-in-chief Mike Flynn had both falsely claimed that every ACORN office O'Keefe and Giles visited had offered to help them. Also during September 2009, both Breitbart and O'Keefe were asked directly by reporters whether any ACORN offices had refused to help; Breitbart and O'Keefe chose not to disclose the existence of a tape that showed at least one ACORN worker who refused to help. In a video released November 16, 2009, O'Keefe finally acknowledged that a Los Angeles ACORN worker they filmed in August 2009 "would not assist us obtain a house for our illegal activities."
O'Keefe pleaded guilty to misdemeanor criminal charge of entering Senate office under false pretenses. As reported by The Times-Picayune on May 26:

Student Secretly Who was filmed by Dharun Ravi and Molly Wei Having Sex, Jumps To Death

Jupiter -
Jupiter
Freshman at Rutgers University, has reportedly commit suicide after two classmates secretly filmed him having sex and then broadcast it over the internet.
Two Rutgers University students Dharun Ravi, 18 and Molly Wei, 18, have been charged with illegally taping another student having sex and posting the images on the Internet.
How disturbing can this be, invade one's privacy and expose it on the internet. What type person does such of sick joke. Not even the most educated students thinks about consequences.
These acts hurt people's feeling and self-esteem, in this case it can kill someone. These tragedies do not need to happen.
As a personal perspective as former resident adviser in the dorms, I have been exposed to many uncomfortable situations and people, yet this incident is shocking!
What is the motive to want to expose people with invasion of privacy?

Dharun Ravi and Molly Wei, two Rudgers university students, are accused of placing a hidden camera in a dorm room, secretly filming another student’s sexual encounter and placing the video online, NBC New Yorkreports.
The student in question, Tyler Clementi, 18, committed suicide not long after the video was published by jumping into the Hudson River, the New York Daily News reports.
Dharun Ravi and Molly Wei, both 18, each face two counts of invasion of privacy. Dharun Ravi also faces more counts of invasion of privacy for trying to tape Tyler Clementi in an earlier sexual encounter. Furthermore, Dharun Ravi apparently also published a tweet on a Twitter page, implying that Clementi was with another man in the video, therefore possibly outing Tyler Clementi as homosexual.
According to thenewsoftoday.com, Dharon Ravi wrote on his Twitter account, “Roommate asked for the room till midnight. I went into molly’s room and turned on my web cam. I saw him making out with a dude. Yay!”
Tyler Clementi was spotted by at least two individuals as as he was standing on the south walk of the bridge, not long before he jumped.  He left no note and his body remained missing. Police did discover a body floating in the river, but it has not yet been identified.

Boudreau On 'Bizarre Love Boat Situation'

September 29, 2010 3:45 pm ET by Joe Strupp
Abbie Boudreau, the CNN reporter whose attempted meeting with James O'Keefe exposed an alleged plan to embarrass her with a sex-themed prank, said the incident showed O'Keefe "has no boundaries."
The meeting was part of Boudreau's reporting for a series set to appear this weekend on CNN that profiles several young conservative activists, many of whom follow O'Keefe, she said.
"I have all of them on the record saying they consider him to be an influential part of the young conservative movement," Boudreau told me today. "One thing we learned is that there are few rules and few boundaries."
